IT Acquisition Reminders

App State’s IT Acquisition Review process helps ensure that technology purchases across campus are secure, accessible and aligned with university standards. If your department is considering new software, cloud services, non-standard hardware or consulting services, please keep the following in mind:

  • Submit an IT Acquisition request before purchasing or signing up for a service. This includes free tools that require accounts, data sharing or integrations.
  • Reviews help protect university data and systems. Our teams assess security, accessibility, data stewardship needs and technical compatibility.

  • Plan ahead when possible. Some reviews require coordination with multiple IT units, so early submission helps avoid delays.

  • Be sure to get approval for PCard software purchases. Please submit the PCard Software Purchase Request Form before using your PCard to purchase any type of software or renew software subscriptions.
