ITS Support Ticket Outage and Limited Service July 10–17

Information Technology Services (ITS) is migrating several core platforms to the cloud to better serve the campus community with a centralized platform for service and knowledge management. 

This migration affects the Support Ticket Portal (log in required), and Confluence, which hosts the Software and Service Catalog and the Appalachian Technology Knowledge Base

Downtime and Migration Schedule

Please note the following service interruptions and plan accordingly:

  • Limited service: Monday, July 13, through Friday, July 17, the portal will be restored with limited options while we finalize migration.

  • Fully restored: By the end of the day on Friday, July 17.

What will change

A noticeable difference will be the look and feel of the portal itself. Instead of a menu on the left side, categories will appear on the page, followed by a drop-down menu on subsequent pages. 

All Confluence pages will be redirected to the new platform at appstate.atlassian.net. See a visual example of portal differences and find resources on the Cloud migration project page.

About this Project 

This update will provide a more robust and modern platform for service, work and knowledge management and collaborative work. This migration is not just a technical upgrade; it is a commitment to improving how we serve the university community.
