YuJa Panorama, a new accessibility platform integrated with App State's Canvas instance, is currently being rolled out and will be available to all instructors and students.
YuJa Panorama supports instructors by automatically scanning course materials for potential accessibility issues and providing actionable guidance to help improve content. The platform also empowers students by offering alternative formats for course materials, making content more flexible and accessible to individual learning preferences and needs.
Key benefits include:
- Automated accessibility checks for course content and files
- Guided remediation tools that help instructors address accessibility concerns
- Alternative format options for students, including accessible versions of documents and other course materials
- Support for the university's commitment to digital accessibility and compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards
YuJa Panorama will serve as an important resource in helping our campus create learning environments that are accessible to everyone.
Additional information and training opportunities will be shared in the coming weeks. In the meantime, instructors may notice Panorama features and tools appearing in their Canvas courses as activation rolls out over the coming week.
