Academic and Emerging Technologies is accepting course opt-in elections from faculty who wish to teach their summer courses in Canvas, our new Learning Management System (LMS).
If you do not wish to opt in at this time, no action is required, and your summer courses will be available in AsULearn.
Opt-in process
By Friday, March 20, 2026, visit the Canvas Opt In page in Banner Self-Service (login required, available only to faculty) to elect to teach one or more of your summer courses in Canvas.
Important considerations
Once you opt to teach in Canvas for a summer session, the choice is final for the duration of the session.
If you intend to cross-list multiple sections into a single "meta-course," you must opt in for each of the individual courses involved.
The process for building summer courses in Canvas will start in late March.
