Charge

The Information Security Advisory Council is tasked with providing advice, review and endorsement of the university’s Information Security plan, including relevant policies, strategic initiatives and services. The goal of the council is to achieve a cost-effective, holistic management of risks related to information resources while addressing the specific educational and awareness needs of the university community.

Scope

Members of ISAC:

  • Collaboratively review, revise and endorse the university’s Information Security plan and policies.

  • Identify campus-wide and role-specific security awareness and training needs.

  • Advise on current information security trends, issues, and program improvements.

  • Establish committees and workgroups for in-depth research on specific areas.

Participation is instrumental in achieving our mission to protect information assets while promoting a safe and secure learning environment.
