Spring 2027: Option to Stay in AsULearn (Moodle)
For spring 2027, all academic courses will be built in Canvas by default. If you want your course to remain in AsULearn (Moodle), you must opt out of Canvas by Friday, Oct. 16, 2026, using this form. Only the faculty member assigned as the instructor of record can submit the form.
Taking no action means your course will be built in Canvas.
Reminder: All courses move to Canvas by summer 2027. Opting out is a temporary extension for one semester, not a permanent exemption.

Academic and Emerging Technologies (AET) is offering a series of Canvas workshops throughout the fall semester — review topics and register now.
Backup and Data Retention
Take action: Faculty should download any AsULearn course materials (PDFs, slides, etc.) and student data (gradebook, student submissions, etc.) that they will continue to need to access by the end of the spring 2027 semester.
