Infrastructure Services provides the core computing infrastructure for the university. This group designs, installs and supports foundational computing components such as computer and storage networks, data centers, servers and storage.
The primary goal of this group is to provide robust, reliable and secure computing infrastructure and services for faculty, staff, students and visitors.

Networking
Networking designs, implements and maintains an enterprise network infrastructure for the delivery of mission-critical services to App State. NICS provides a secure, stable end-to-end computing experience for all network-enabled devices on campus.

- Anyconnect VPN
- Certificates
- Network security
Infrastructure End-Points (IEP)
Infrastructure end-points oversees phone communications, security cameras and data center management. Responsibilities cover installation, management and consulting for these services.

- VoIP (Cisco UCS)
- Camera management (Axis)
- Camera contractor management
- Data center management
Storage, Virtualization and Backup (SVB)
The SVB team oversees the campus enterprise storage systems, virtualization platforms and data protection systems.
Services provided:
Storage system management
- VMware virtualization platform & ezmeral runtime environment (kubernetes)
- Commvault and cloud backups
Physical Infrastructure
Physical infrastructure oversees the installation, planning and management of campus fiber and copper plants. This group is also responsible for the installation and support of fire alarm systems, emergency call stations, duress systems and academic building cameras.
Enterprise Solution Architects (ESAs):
The role of an ESA is to lead the architecting of IT solutions and methodologies to meet the strategic needs of the university and ITS.
