Departments

Apple Systems

Administers all aspects of Apple technology on an enterprise level. This includes

  • architecting and managing Apple programs such as Apple School Manager and institutional Apple Developer Accounts for automated device enrollment, 
  • content purchasing and distribution,
  • creating and managing federated Apple IDs,
  • coordinating access to beta and appleseed programs,
  • app development and app store distribution.

Also, architects and administers MDM with Jamf Pro for device management of all university-owned Apple endpoints such as Macs, iPads, iPhones, Apple Watches, Apple TVs and soon Apple Vision Pros. 


Linux Systems

Responsibilities span a wide range of areas from simple operating system (OS) administration to application containerization and software integration, all critical systems that power essential university functions. 

Linux systems drive essential university services, including Banner ERP, Moodle (AsULearn) and Shibboleth. In support of these user-facing applications this team also provides systems administration for LDAP, Oracle, MySQL, networking and other areas of university infrastructure.

Primarily responsible for Google Workspace administration and automation, as well as the entire university email infrastructure.


Research Systems

Supports academic and scientific research through administration of an on-premise High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster as well as brokering access to cloud computing resources. Provides application hosting and consulting for others that support research on campus.


Windows Systems 

Provide for the design, implementation and support of Microsoft enterprise-class systems and services by maintaining enterprise servers utilizing Microsoft Windows. This includes architecting and managing Windows programs, and content purchasing and distribution.
